  5.       This  file  is  for those of you that have booted this edition of @2The
  6.       Crypt  22 @5 from floppy disk.  If you are reading @2The Crypt@5 either@1 "on
  7.       line"@5,  or from the hard drive download from our website, then please
  8.       read no further.

  10.                            For The Floppy Disk Users.
  11. @5
  12.       In  the  past @2 The Crypt@5 was created on floppy disks and converted to
  13.       run  from  hard  disk on its completion.  This was very difficult and
  14.       also  very  time consuming!  Imagine having to decide from day one of
  15.       starting  a new edition how many disks would be required when all you
  16.       had  was  perhaps  a  couple  of  loading  graphics  and  maybe a few
  17.       articles? A crystal ball would have been very useful to us!

  19.       Times have changed now and there are very few floppy disk users left.
  20.       @2The  Crypt@5  is  therefore  now  compiled  on hard drive and copied to
  21.       floppy  as  we build up the magazine.  This is much easier and faster
  22.       for  us  at @4RIYAN Productions@5 and the time saved is spent in bringing
  23.       you a better and bigger edition.

  25.                    Will The Crypt Still Run From Floppy Disk?

  27.       Yes,  because  your reading it now.  However as you continue your way
  28.       around  this  edition  you will soon see the main differences.  There
  29.       will  be  more  and  more prompts for you to insert a different disk.
  30.       Obviously  if you had several floppy drives the disk changes would be
  31.       less frequent.  In theory if @2The Crypt@5 came on 5 disks and you have 5
  32.       disk drives you wouldn't have any trouble at all!

  35.                   So How Do I Transfer The Crypt to Hard Drive?

  37.       Easy folks..

  39.       1)@5  Create  a  drawer  somewhere  on  your hard drive and name it@2 The
  40.       Crypt 22@5.

  42.       2)@5 Now copy ALL the contents of DISK 1 to it.

  44.       3)@5 Next  in  that drawer make two new drawers and name them PICS and
  45.       TEXT.

  50.       4)@5  Look  at  DISK  2  and  apart from the disk icon you will see two
  51.       drawers,  PICS  and TEXT.  Copy all the files in PICS drawer into the
  52.       PICS drawer on your hard drive.

  54.       5)@5 Now do the same for the TEXT files.

  56.       6)@5 Now do exactly the same for the rest of @2The Crypt@5 floppy disks.

  58.       7)@5 Job complete.  If you followed these simple instructions correctly
  59.       @2The  Crypt@5  will  run  from hard disk.  There are no assigns to worry
  60.       about as the IconX script takes care of that when you double click on
  61.       @2The Crypt@5 Icon.
